It isn't on sale yet. For now, the free weekend schedule and starter log covers the basics.
What's inside, page by page
- Which schedule?A chooser for the three timelines, five rules that make any schedule work, a starter-safety box and source credits.
- Weekend scheduleFeed Friday night, mix Saturday, bake Sunday morning after about 16 h in the fridge. Planned and Actual columns.
- Weekday overnight scheduleFeed before work, mix after work, bake the next morning (about 9 h in the fridge).
- Same-day scheduleNo fridge, about a 2 h room-temperature proof, bread by evening.
- Recipe sheet (baker's math)A fill-in table, four formulas and a worked example (about 900 g of dough at 75% hydration).
- 14-day new-starter logDate, ratio, flour, room temperature, rise and hours to peak.
- Fridge starter and bake logA 12-week feeding tracker and a log for each bake.
Who it's for
- Home bakers with a working starter who want a loaf to fit a weekend, a workday or a single day at home.
- New bakers getting a starter going who want a simple daily log.
- Bakers who like to keep notes and tune times to their own kitchen.
It's a planner, not a full course or recipe collection. The times and temperatures are compiled from published sources (King Arthur Baking, The Perfect Loaf, and Colorado State University and South Dakota State University Extension for starter safety), credited on page 1. The schedules weren't test-baked by us, and your kitchen will differ, which is what the Actual column is for.
Free in the meantime: the overnight vs same-day guide walks through all three kinds of schedule, and the hydration calculator does the recipe-sheet math.
